Introduction

Light and Salt Association

  • LSA founded in 1997

Light and Salt Association is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) community-based organization founded in 1997, with the mission of bringing together the manpower and resources of Houston's Chinese community to provide care and services to needy Houstonians. Since its inception, LSA had sponsored multiple annual events, including a parent's day celebration, annual winter clothing drive, and a day with seniors. LSA also mobilized the Chinese community to raise relief funds for victims of Hurricane Katrina, the 2008 earthquake in Sichuan, China 2009 Taiwan Morak Typhoon, and the 2010 earthquake in Japan. In 2011, a new northwest branch office was established to extend LSA's programs and services to the northwest section of the Houston area.
